AndySmiff.co.uk was created with clear goals in mind. These were to re-brand myself as a trusted freelancer, simplify the sites usability and integrate social media more heavily into the site.
To achieve these goals I researched a lot of other web site designs, marketing models, social media trends and brand identities. Once I had all the ingredients together that I liked I fired up Photoshop and starting experimenting.
To bring AndySmiff.co.uk to life I turned to my favourite Open Source CMS... Joomla! What I needed at that stage was a template framework and some awesome extensions. this blog post will tell you exactly what I have used and how it all came together.
